Alston Moor Parish Council wishes to take formal custodianship, management and maintenance of Nenthead drinking fountain, a Grade II listed structure that has been sorely neglected for decades. If Westmorland & Furness Council objects to this, and wishes to take custodianship, etc., itself of the structure, please inform Alston Moor Parish Council before the 1st August 2024 Otherwise after that date the Parish Council shall assume that W&F has no claim to the fountain and raises no objections to this proposal.
